At Rutgers Rosalijn conducts research on SRHR and COVID-19, gender transformative approaches, pleasure and sex-positive approaches to CSE, youth-led social accountability, and meaningful and inclusive youth participation.

Rosalijn’s PhD focused on young people’s use of sexual and reproductive health technologies (e.g. emergency contraceptives and sildenafil citrate) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

After finalising her PhD, Rosalijn worked for several years in Ethiopia on relief and recovery programmes for refugees and internally displaced persons. She has also worked on livelihood and HIV-related intervention designs in Ethiopia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, and Zambia.
