Decoding technology facilitated gender-based violence: a reality check from seven countries

To design better ways to tackle technology facilitated gender-based violence, we need far greater understanding of its scale and context-specific nature, and more evidence on responses that work. This multi-country study by the Generation Gender partnership, helps close these knowledge gaps.

Drawing on literature and key informant interviews, we studied technology facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) in Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Rwanda, South Africa, and Uganda. The study pinpoints efforts to prevent and mitigate TFGBV, and offers recommendations for how nations, organisations and communities can take action.
