Sexual wellbeing in young people: Literature review
Young people’s perspectives of sexual wellbeing and consent: A literature review
Plan International commissioned this literature review to inform their work on SRHR. The review explores young people’s perspectives on sexual wellbeing and consent by looking at relevant scientific and grey literature.
It discusses the adolescent sexual wellbeing framework, first developed by Kågesten and van Reeuwijk under the Explore4Action programme. The review looks at available empirical evidence on young people’s understanding and experience of sexual consent, concluding with implications for SRHR policy and practice.
