Rutgers’ gender-transformative approach explained in 2 minutes

Imagine a world where you can be who you want to be. A gender-just and violence-free world where everyone can live in their full diversity. It’s possible. But it requires fundamental change.

In this video Rutgers explains the fundamentals of its gender-transformative approach (GTA) to SRHR programming.

A gender-transformative approach examines, questions and transforms inequitable gender norms and power dynamics into positive values. In doing so, a gender-transformative approach enhances gender equality and contributes to improved SRHR outcomes and reduction of gender-based violence.
