Accessibility Statement
We aim to make our websites as user-friendly and accessible as possible for everyone. Therefore, Rutgers strives to comply as fully as possible with government requirements for accessibility (WCAG 2.1) at AA level and to meet the European Accessibility Act.
We are taking the following measures to promote accessibility:
- Rutgers’ web editorial team is well-versed in accessibility guidelines and publishes new information on the website according to these guidelines.
- We regularly scan the website for accessibility and resolve identified issues as quickly as possible.
- When selecting external suppliers for documents, infographics, images, and other media formats, we require that the documents meet WCAG requirements.
- All videos on our websites include subtitles.
- All pages feature a read-aloud function.
- All pages include options to adjust and optimize the font size.
Not all documents yet
Currently, not all documents meet the accessibility standards. This applies primarily to PDF files. We strive to publish all new content accessibly.
