Get Up, Speak Out for Youth Rights! – A five-year reflection

From 2016 to 2020, Get Up, Speak Out for Youth Rights! (GUSO) brought together partners across seven countries in Africa and Asia, with support from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to advance young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

Working closely with young people—especially girls and young women—the programme focused on improving access to SRHR information and education, increasing the use of quality, youth-friendly services, and fostering more supportive environments around young people’s sexuality.

This digital magazine reflects on five years of progress, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned. It also celebrates the strength of the country alliances and the central role young people have played throughout—shaping decisions, driving collaboration, and contributing to lasting change.
