The Dutch website offering reliable and accessible information on sexuality for young people, Sense.info, has won the 2025 Award for Excellence & Innovation in Sexual Education. The award was presented at the 27th World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) Congress, held in Brisbane, Australia this week.
The recognition highlights the importance of innovative, youth-centered approaches to sexuality education at a time when access to trustworthy information is more vital than ever.
Targeting young people aged 12 to 25, Sense.info stands out for its engaging, science-based content. It delivers accurate, relatable information through interactive formats and youth-focused platforms – such as TikTok – while maintaining a strong foundation in research and public health expertise.
“This global recognition confirms that our approach to sexuality education for young people is seen as a best practice,” said Hanneke Roosjen of Sense.info. “We’re incredibly proud that our work is contributing to better sexual health for youth—not just in the Netherlands, but as an example for others around the world.”
The WAS Congress is a leading global event in the field of sexual health, rights, justice, and pleasure. This year’s theme, “Advancing Sexual Health, Rights, Justice, and Pleasure – Everyone. Everywhere. Every Time,” brought together researchers, policymakers, educators, and advocates from across the world.
