A Qualitative Evaluation of the Setara CSE program for junior high schools in Indonesia.
How does SETARA impact sexual education in Indonesia?
SETARA is an ongoing two-year comprehensive sexuality education (CSE) intervention implemented in junior high schools in Indonesia, targeting students aged 12-15 years old. Under the implementation research track of Explore4Action a Qualitative Impact Protocol (QuIP) study was designed to collect credible evidence of the impacts of the SETARA intervention directly from students.
Results from a QuIP study in Semarang, Denpasar and Bandar Lampung are encouraging. More than half of all respondents said they experience positive changes because of SETARA. To know more, you can read the full report in English or Indonesian.
