Sexual Health in the Netherlands 2017 was a large-scale study conducted by Rutgers of 17,000 Dutch people between the ages of 18 to 80.

It contains a wealth of information about a wide range of sexuality-related topics. Some of the main findings include:

  • Most Dutch people are happy with their sex lives.
  • More men than women enjoy sex
  • Men over 70 and women below 25 experience sexual problems
  • Sexual coercion occurs frequently
  • Substantial number of homosexual and bisexual men have ever been verbally abused due to their sexual orientation
  • Almost everyone agrees that sexual education should be obligatory in school
